ABOUT US

Alas Construct is an established playground construction company specialising in commercial playground surfacing and associated works.

We complete projects across schools, childcare centres, public parks and recreational facilities throughout South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Playground Surfacing Installer to join our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are specifically looking for someone with previous hands-on experience in the playground surfacing industry.

The successful applicant will be involved in:

• Wet pour rubber softfall installation
• EPDM, CSBR and SBR rubber surfacing
• Synthetic grass installation
• Concrete preparation, pouring and finishing
• Sub-base preparation, screeding and levelling
• Surface preparation and finishing
• Working across commercial playground projects
• Maintaining high-quality workmanship and attention to detail

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

Previous playground surfacing experience is essential.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience working within the playground construction or surfacing industry
• Hands-on experience with rubber softfall and/or synthetic grass installation
• Knowledge of commercial playground surfacing methods
• Experience with surface preparation, levels and finishing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Current Construction White Card
• Current driver's licence

Highly regarded:

• Experience installing EPDM and CSBR rubber softfall
• Concrete finishing experience
• Excavator, skid steer or other machinery experience
• Experience leading small crews
• Understanding of playground surfacing specifications and requirements

IMPORTANT

This position is specifically for someone with playground surfacing experience.

We are not looking for general landscapers or playground equipment installers.

We are seeking someone who has previously worked with rubber softfall, synthetic grass or other commercial playground surfacing applications and understands the quality and finish required.
