JOB SUMMARY

The Experienced Tailor / Production Supervisor will oversee garment production for the clothing brand, ensuring high-quality finishing, accurate measurements, timely delivery, and consistency with the brand’s designs and standards. The successful candidate must be highly skilled in tailoring and capable of supervising production staff, allocating tasks, and managing workflow to meet customer orders and production targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Garment Production & Quality Control

• Cut, sew, alter, and finish garments according to designs, measurements, and specifications.
• Interpret sketches, samples, and design instructions accurately.
• Inspect completed garments to ensure quality stitching, proper fitting, neat finishing, and consistency.
• Carry out fittings, alterations, and corrections where necessary.

Production Supervision

• Allocate tasks to tailors and apprentices and monitor their progress.
• Supervise daily production activities to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Train and guide junior tailors, identify skill gaps, and maintain production discipline.
• Monitor fabric usage and minimise material wastage.

Workflow & Equipment Management

• Track customer orders and production timelines to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor the availability and proper use of sewing machines, tools, and other production equipment.
• Report material shortages, equipment faults, and production challenges to management.
• Recommend improvements to production processes and garment quality.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3–5 years’ practical tailoring experience, preferably within a fashion or clothing brand.
• Strong skills in pattern drafting, fabric cutting, sewing, fitting, alterations, and garment finishing.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise tailors, apprentices, or a small production team.
• Good understanding of fabrics, garment construction, measurements, and quality control.
• Ability to interpret fashion designs and deliver garments to specification.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high production standards.

Pay: ₦250,000.00 per month
