Duties

• Prepare detailed federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and small businesses with precision and adherence to current tax laws.
• Review financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and bank statements to gather necessary data for accurate tax filing.
• Utilize accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools to organize data efficiently and ensure seamless integration with tax preparation processes.
• Conduct thorough analysis of clients’ financial situations to identify potential deductions, credits, and strategies that optimize their tax positions.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all filings, correspondence, and client interactions for compliance and future reference.
• Provide expert guidance on tax planning strategies to help clients minimize liabilities and plan for future financial goals.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks and basic accounting functions as needed to support ongoing financial management.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation, accounting standards, and industry best practices through continuous learning.
• Engage in proactive marketing efforts by identifying opportunities for financial sales or additional services that benefit clients’ overall financial health.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly, explaining complex concepts clearly, and building lasting relationships.

Skills

• Extensive experience with tax preparation for diverse client profiles including individuals and small businesses.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial management tools.
• Strong understanding of public accounting practices combined with technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data accurately and identify optimal tax strategies.
• Solid grasp of financial concepts including deductions, credits, depreciation, and corporate accounting principles.
• Competency in bookkeeping tasks and 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
