Experienced Traveling Ironworker / Structural Steel Erector

Solar System Erectors is hiring experienced ironworkers for structural-steel erection on solar canopies at parking garages and parking lots. Prior professional ironworker or structural-steel erection experience is required. This is not an entry-level general labor position.

This is an on-the-road position serving the East Coast, from Georgia through Massachusetts. Applicants must be willing to travel and stay out of state as projects require.

Core Job Duties

• Erecting, connecting, and rigging structural steel
• Installing purlins, bridging, and kickers
• Working safely at heights and outdoors in changing weather
• Operating or assisting with telehandlers and aerial lifts
• Following safety procedures, producing quality work, and traveling to project sites

Required Qualifications

• Prior professional ironworker or structural-steel erection experience, including hands-on connecting and rigging
• OSHA 10 certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to travel and stay out of state as projects require
• Ability to receive payroll through a bank account

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification
• Telehandler/Lull experience
• Solar construction experience

Travel Support

For out-of-state work, we provide hotel accommodations, per diem, and a gas card for foremen.

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
