Who We Are: Tree Amigos is a professional tree care outfit operating out of Austin, TX. We run a safe, equipment-centered, modern operation. We are looking for an Experienced Tree Climber who knows their way around a canopy and takes pride in their craft. If you are a skilled arborist who excels in modern climbing techniques, complex rigging, and safely dismantling hazardous trees, we want you on our crew. Responsibilities

• Ascend trees safely using modern climbing systems (SRT/MRS) or aerial lifts to perform advanced tree care operations
• Perform precise pruning, trimming, and deadwooding according to ANSI A300 standards to promote tree health and structure
• Execute safe and efficient tree removals, including complex rigging, dismantling, and controlled lowering of heavy timber
• Operate chainsaws and handsaws safely while aloft
• Communicate clearly and effectively with groundies to manage the drop zone, guide rigging ropes, and maintain a highly safe job site
• Assess tree structures, identify hazards or decay, and determine the safest, most efficient approach to each job
• Inspect and maintain personal climbing gear, ropes, and rigging equipment daily to ensure strict safety compliance
• Assist with ground operations, equipment maintenance, and site cleanup as a team player when not aloft

Skills

• Proven professional experience as a tree climber in the arboriculture industry
• Mastery of modern arborist climbing techniques, knots, friction hitches, and advanced rigging systems
• High proficiency in operating chainsaws safely at heights and in awkward positions
• Deep understanding of tree care practices, pruning cuts, and dendrology
• Exceptional physical stamina, balance, and comfort working at significant heights in varying Texas weather conditions
• Safety-first mindset with a strong understanding of industry safety standards (Z133)
• ISA Certification (Certified Arborist or Tree Worker Climber Specialist) is a strong plus, but not required to apply

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $37.00 per hour
