UMI Holdings (UMI) is seeking experienced Underground Mining Operators to join our teams supporting underground coal mining operations in the Emerald region of Central Queensland.

With immediate mobilisation opportunities, competitive remuneration and ongoing operational requirements, we are looking for skilled and reliable operators with demonstrated experience in ventilation, secondary support, remedial support and general underground mining operations.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

We are actively recruiting experienced personnel for:

• Ventilation Operators – Experienced in underground ventilation installation, maintenance and associated works.
• Secondary Support Operators – Experienced in secondary support installation, ground support systems and associated underground mining activities.
• Remedial Support Operators – Experienced in underground remedial support, ground rehabilitation, strata support and associated works.
• Experienced Underground Mining Operators – Skilled operators with demonstrated experience across underground coal mining operations, equipment and project activities.

Location: Emerald, Central Queensland
Commencement: Immediate start

We are seeking experienced underground mining professionals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety and the ability to contribute effectively within established mining teams.

Successful applicants will ideally possess:

• Demonstrated experience working in underground coal mining operations
• Relevant experience in ventilation, secondary support, remedial support or general underground operations
• Current underground mining competencies and relevant qualifications
• Experience operating underground mining equipment relevant to the position
• Strong knowledge of underground mining safety standards and operational requirements
• Ability to work effectively within established underground crews
• Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to satisfy site-specific medical, induction and mobilisation requirements

Previous underground coal mining experience is essential.
