Schedule: Monday through Friday, alternating Saturdays

Job Summary:

Peterson BMW is seeking a skilled and experienced Used Car Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, particularly with pre-owned vehicles of various makes and models. This role requires a high level of expertise and a commitment to delivering top-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on used vehicles of all makes and models.
• Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and more.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues to ensure vehicles meet safety and quality standards.
• Ensure all repairs and services are performed in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Document all work performed, including parts used, labor time, and any recommendations for future service.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order.
• Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate and detailed information to customers about their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and repair techniques.

Qualifications:

• Experience as an automotive technician, with specific experience in used car diagnostics and repair.
• ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) is preferred but not required.
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work with various diagnostic tools and software.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
