Job description

We are looking for an experienced UX/UI designer who is able to play a decisive role in development projects. Through a co-creative, design-thinking approach you provide the UX of new applications and features. You are involved in all parts of the design process: from sales, drawing up proposals to user research, prototyping and detailed design. You also play a role in building the UX capabilities at DXC.

This is either a full-time position or a 6 months minimum freelance assignment

Who are you?

• You have at least a first work experience in a similar role/technologies of 2-3 years of relevant experience in various projects/environments

• You have a thorough knowledge of UX and UI design

• You can apply user centered design techniques and methods

• You have experience in conducting qualitative user research (interviews,…)

• You have experience with the use of a design system (own, Material Design, GOV.UK …)

• You know your way around tools such as Figma, Adobe XD and Axure

• You are strong in facilitating design workshops (Design thinking)

• You have an eye for detail without losing the overall picture

• You can think along strategically and problem-solving

• You have strong functional analytical skills

• You have excellent communication skills

• You speak and write Dutch and English fluently, French is a plus

• You can work independently but at the same time you are a real team player

Bonus points:

• You have experience in Design Thinking

• You have knowledge and experience with setting up design systems (own, Material Design, GOV.UK …)

• You have insight into HTML, CSS and SASS

• You have experience with Responsive design

• You have insight into the accessibility guidelines
