Jack London Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our busy, collaborative team.

Please note: This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have at least 2 years of recent hands-on experience working in a veterinary GP, Urgent Care, or Emergency hospital.

We are looking for someone who can confidently jump into the flow of a busy hospital and contribute from day one. You should be comfortable working with both routine appointments and more urgent cases, have strong technical skills, and genuinely enjoy working with people as much as you enjoy working with their pets.

What we're looking for

Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of veterinary hospital experience and is confident with:

• Patient restraint and low-stress handling
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Blood draws and sample collection
• Running in-house laboratory testing
• Digital radiographs
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
• Dental procedures and dental radiographs
• Medication preparation and administration
• Hospitalized patient care
• Triage and recognizing when a patient needs immediate attention
• Accurate medical records and attention to detail
• Client communication and education
• Working efficiently as part of a fast-moving medical team

RVT licensure is welcomed and valued, but we are also very interested in highly experienced Veterinary Assistants with strong technical skills.
