Position: Veterinary Assistant
] Experience: Previous hands-on experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is required.

We are looking for a skilled, experienced, and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our veterinary team.

The ideal candidate must be confident in handling animals, providing daily patient care, and assisting veterinarians with medical procedures and treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Animal Handling & Patient Care

• Safely handle and restrain cats and dogs during examinations and treatments.
• Provide daily care, feeding, hygiene, and grooming assistance.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and report any changes in their condition.
• Maintain clean and comfortable cages, kennels, and hospitalization areas.

✅ Medical & Nursing Assistance

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications under veterinary supervision.
• Assist with IV catheter placement (cannulation).
• Set up and monitor IV fluid therapy.
• Assist with blood sample collection and laboratory procedures.
• Perform wound cleaning, dressing, and basic nursing care.
• Monitor vital signs and recognize signs of patient distress.

✅ Surgical & Clinical Support

• Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist veterinarians during surgery and postoperative recovery.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
• Follow proper infection control and hygiene protocols.

Requirements:

• Proven practical experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Nurse.
• Good knowledge of animal handling, nursing care, and veterinary procedures.
• Practical experience with IV catheters, fluid therapy, and medication handling.
• Ability to work independently on routine assigned tasks and follow veterinary instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, responsibility, and teamwork.
• Ability to work in a busy veterinary clinic environment.
• Compassionate attitude toward animals and commitment to patient safety.
