Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician

RVT or Veterinary Assistant wanted for hospital in Elk grove. Friendly office with great teamwork, high professional standards.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKEND FULL HOURS

Clientrax, digital x-ray, and Idexx lab stations. Candidate must have experience working in a veterinary hospital.

You must also have the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, and be able to maintain good working relationships with a variety of client personalities.

Must be a self-starter, able to effectively utilize down-time and multi-task.

Work may involve moderate lifting; there is a frequent need to stand, stoop, twist, walk, lift animal crates and other objects (up to 40 pounds), and perform similar actions during the course of the workday.
EDUCATION
-Some college or college equivalent trade school preferred but not required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-You must have some veterinary experience to be considered

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Prescription preparation
-Ability to lift heavy animals

-Ability to stand for long periods

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
-Willing to pitch in and perform cleaning and maintenance duties when needed.

• Re care and confirmation calls
