Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and professionally, establishing a positive first impression for pet owners and visitors.
• Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, coordinating with veterinary staff to optimize daily operations.
• Handle medical billing and collections accurately, ensuring timely processing of payments and insurance claims.
• Maintain detailed client records, updating pet histories, vaccination records, and treatment plans with precision.
• Assist with animal handling tasks such as dog handling, animal restraint, and basic pet care to support veterinary procedures.
• Support kennel operations by coordinating animal care, ensuring animals are comfortable, clean, and properly housed.
• Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary staff by answering phone calls, providing information about services, and relaying messages promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and assist with laboratory tasks or specimen handling when needed.
• Support veterinary critical care activities by understanding basic veterinary terminology and aseptic techniques.
• Contribute to a team environment by assisting with animal husbandry duties including grooming, pet care education, and basic training support as needed.
• Perform laboratory experience tasks such as sample collection or processing under supervision to aid diagnostic efforts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in veterinary reception within animal healthcare settings is a MUST. (MUST BE WITH AN EXPERIENCE AT LEAST TWO YEARS IN THE VETERINARY FIELD)
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and pet care practices is essential.
• Experience with medical collections, laboratory procedures, or critical care environments will be advantageous.
• Strong animal handling skills including dog training, animal restraint..
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members alike.
• Basic proficiency in computer software relevant to veterinary practice management systems is required.
• Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
