Countryside Animal Hospital is seeking a full or part time experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our growing team in Covington, GA.

The ideal candidate has previous experience in a veterinary hospital, is comfortable handling animals of all sizes, and enjoys working closely with veterinarians and technicians to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient restraint, handling, and positioning during examinations and procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
• Assist with patient preparation for surgery, dentistry, radiology, and diagnostic procedures
• Collect and process lab samples
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant experience required
• Animal handling and restraint experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable with excellent time-management and organizational abilities
• Comfortable using computers, veterinary software, and medical equipment
• Detail-oriented and committed to providing exceptional patient care
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
