Experienced Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities:

• Assist in medical and surgical procedures
• Perform diagnostic tests, including blood draws, urinalysis, and radiographs
• Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and assist in post-operative care
• Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by the veterinarian
• Maintain accurate patient records and update them as needed
• Provide client education on pet care and treatment plans
• Prepare animals for exams and assist during physical exams
• Support veterinarians in managing emergency cases
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and clinic
• Assist with inventory management and stock medical supplies

Requirements:

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or equivalent credentials required
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred
• Knowledge of animal behavior, medical terminology, and emergency procedures
• Ability to handle animals safely and effectively
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Flexible schedule; ability to work weekends or evenings may be required
