Experienced Welder / Fabricator

Thavenet Machine Company, Inc. is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to become an integral part of our team. We are a small, family-owned machine and fabrication shop looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and can handle a wide variety of projects.

Pay: $30–$40 per hour, based on experience and skill level

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of welding/fabrication experience
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and blueprints
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Experienced with oxy-fuel torches and plasma cutting
• Comfortable operating common fabrication equipment, including:
• Drill press
• Saws
• Ironworker
• Slip roll
• Other standard shop equipment
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented

The Work

Our projects are varied—this is not a repetitive production welding position. Work can range from fine TIG welding and detailed fabrication to structural/construction work, repairs, custom fabrication, and decorative ironwork.

We are looking for someone who wants to be an integral, long-term member of a small family business and is comfortable taking on different types of work from one job to the next.
