Experinced bar Manager / supervisior

Errigal Country House Hotel is currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Bar Manager or Bar Supervisor to join our growing team.

We are a busy, family-run, four-star hotel with a strong reputation for excellent food, drinks, weddings and hospitality.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry, takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and has the confidence and experience to lead a busy bar operation.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who enjoys working alongside their team, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can ensure our guests receive a consistently high standard of service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bar Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career or an established Bar Manager seeking a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our hotel bars.
• Lead, motivate and support the bar team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain high standards of bar presentation, cleanliness and organisation.
• Ensure efficient service during busy periods, including weddings, functions and weekend trade.
• Assist with staff training, development and supervision.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, stock rotation and waste control.
• Monitor beverage costs and help maximise sales and profitability.
• Ensure all cash handling, till procedures and opening/closing duties are completed correctly.
• Maintain excellent product knowledge, including beers, wines, spirits and cocktails.
• Work closely with hotel management and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and licensing requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a Bar Manager, Bar Supervisor or similar senior bar role is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of bar operations, beverages and customer service.
• A positive, professional and approachable attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with stock management and cost control.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
