Expert, AI Engineer

Expert AI Engineer role is to design, develop, and implement AI-based solutions for mill operations by leveraging historical and real-time machine data, in order to improve equipment reliability, optimize process performance, enhance product quality, and reduce operational waste through predictive analytics and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibility :

1. Develop and continuously enhance Artificial Intelligence (AI) models to support predictive maintenance and improve machine reliability by utilizing historical and real-time operational data.
2. Implement and ensure the effective operation of AI systems, including early warning systems, within the production environment to deliver stable, reliable, and scalable solutions.
3. Manage and integrate data from various industrial sources (e.g., PLC, sensors, historians) to ensure data quality, consistency, and readiness for AI model development and analysis.
4. Analyze and optimize machine operating parameters using AI-driven insights to improve process efficiency, production stability, and product quality.
5. Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the performance of AI models and systems to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and long-term sustainability.
6. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to translate operational challenges into AI-based solutions and support effective implementation on the shop floor.
7. Develop technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer to relevant teams to support adoption and sustainable utilization of AI solutions within mill operations.
8. To Implement Mill / Company Policies related to Sustainability Compliance & Management System (MBOS, ISO, HSE, 6S, COC, Social & Security)

Job Requirement :

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5–8 years of experience AI / Machine Learning development or Data analytics or data science roles.
3. Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies.
4. Experience with predictive analytics, computer vision, and AI deployment in manufacturing environments.
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skill.
7. Candidates must be willing to work at PT. The Univenus Serang, Banten.

Preferred Experience

• Tissue, paper, FMCG, or process manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Lean Manufacturing, and Industry 4.0.
• Experience working with production, converting, packaging, and supply chain data.
