Your Task

As an Architect, you will understand the latest developments in cloud and container technology. In this customer-oriented role, you will develop and extend the platform of our Open Telekom Cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Improve the platform architecture while taking IT security seriously
• Design and develop innovative platform and software-as-a-service features
• Be a trusted advisor for OpenStack-based public cloud technology
• Hands-on work on a console to back your architectural work
• Consistently automate with common automation frameworks
• Work in a team of specialists where everyone helps each other in an open and trusting manner

Your Profile

We are seeking an experienced Architect with extensive expertise in cloud and container technologies, particularly OpenStack-based public cloud platforms, combined with strong technical skills in infrastructure automation and Linux systems.

Must Have Skills

• Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training
• Minimum 11 years of professional experience in IT with a focus on modern cloud technologies
• Very good knowledge of software architectures
• Very good knowledge of cloud architectures
• Very good knowledge of container architectures
• Experience in infrastructure automation
• In-depth knowledge of Linux
• In-depth knowledge of system tools
• In-depth knowledge of network related services
• Strong customer orientation
• Knowledge of agile development processes
• Mentoring skills
• Presentation skills
• Ability to assess technical solutions
• Ability to come up with creative approaches
• Fluency in written English
• Fluency in spoken English
• Must be working in the European Union to meet data security and privacy requirements

Nice to Have Skills

• OpenStack experience
• Programming experience in OpenSource projects
