It suits a detail-focused finance professional who is strong with data and enjoys getting to the root of discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities

- Phasing and forecasting: Phase budgets by month and quarter, update forecasts as contracts are signed and work progresses, and prepare cash requirement schedules.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly CAPEX and OPEX budget-vs-actual and commitment-vs-payment reports and weekly commitment reports, with variances explained.
- Data quality: Keep cost coding accurate, reconcile trackers with the various internal systems, and maintain audit-ready records.
- Problem-solving: Investigate discrepancies to their root cause and resolve them before reporting deadlines; flag overruns and delays early.
Candidate Requirements

- Experience: 5–8 years in cost control, project accounting or FP&A on construction or infrastructure projects, including budget control across multiple contract packages.
- Technical: Working knowledge of construction contract payment mechanics (advances, guarantees, retentions, interim payment certificates and variations), or the ability to learn them quickly; working knowledge of Vietnamese regulations on construction investment cost management and total investment (TMĐT).
- Excel and data tools (essential): Advanced Excel, Data Model, PivotTables, complex formulas and automated reporting; working knowledge of SAP. VBA / Office Scripts, Power BI or SQL is a plus.
