Job Description

As an expert for Digital Forensics and Incident Response (m/f/d/x), you will independently support our clients at a technical level on all matters relating to IT forensics and security incident management.

Your responsibilities in detail:

• Conducting and coordinating forensic analyses during incident response engagements, both remotely and on-site
• Securing and preserving digital evidence
• Processing findings and conclusions
• Providing technical and organizational security consulting to our clients, e.g., on attack containment measures and IT security incident response
• Facilitating workshops and risk assessments
• Participating in client events, trade fairs, and industry forums
• Participating in on-call and emergency response standby duties

Requirements

In addition to a successfully completed specialized education/degree or comparable qualifications, you bring:

• Experience in Digital Forensics and Incident Response or in network and system administration with a security focus
• Sound knowledge of relevant forensic tools (e.g., X-Ways Forensics, The Sleuth Kit, Magnet AXIOM, FTK Imager, Velociraptor, THOR, or comparable tools)
• Sound knowledge of relevant EDR solutions (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike Falcon)
• Knowledge of IT security, IT security tools, as well as common operating systems and network technologies
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Class B driver's license and a high willingness to travel
