Your Task

We are looking for test automation colleagues who communicate confidently in German for a new project that provides challenges and development opportunities while using the most modern technologies. This position offers flexible work arrangements, including the option to work from home.

Responsibilities

• Implementation and customization of Gherkin sentences in Java with Selenium framework
• Support testers in testing SOAP and REST-based web services using appropriate test tools
• Implement and develop test frameworks and tools (e.g. JUnit, Mockito, Selenium), which are used by testers in Scrum teams as well as in higher level testing phases for automated testing
• Generate test data and perform test data management
• Support testers in error analysis and maintenance of their test cases
• Work independently in the test automation team

Your Profile

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in automated testing using Java and Selenium, expertise in testing web services, and proficiency in agile methodologies. The ideal candidate must communicate confidently in German and possess relevant testing certifications.

Must Have Skills

• Experience in implementing tests, performing manual and automated testing, and documenting test results
• Experience in testing SOAP-based and REST-based web services using relevant test tools (SOAPUI, Insomnia, Postman)
• Experience in implementing automated tests in Java with Selenium framework
• Experience in Scrum and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies
• Experience in testing in an agile environment (test quadrants, Shift Left approach)
• Experience in Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) methodology and formulation of user interface/GUI scenarios in Gherkin
• Practical experience working in CI/CD processes (using git, performing code checks, analyzing static test results such as static code analyses)
• Communication skills to work in an agile development team with the Product Owner (PO), Scrum Master (SM), developers and testers
• Analytical skills to investigate and evaluate deviations and anomalies based on the obtained test results
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certificate (CTFL or Agile Tester)
• German language skills (written and oral)

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience using container technologies and container management platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
• ISTQB Advanced Level Certificate (Test Analyst or Agile Technical Tester)
• Proficiency in English
• Participation in international and agile projects
• Experience in a multinational company
