possible extension

About the role

Guandi Engineering is looking for an experienced Exploration Geologist to lead a fast-tracked, 13-week

exploration and drilling programme on Lithium–Caesium–Tantalum (LCT) pegmatite targets. The

programme moves from desktop study, mapping and trenching (Month 1), to diamond drilling (Month

2), to infill drilling and a preliminary JORC/SAMREC Mineral Resource estimate (Month 3).

Key responsibilities

• Lead the on-site geological team and coordinate contractors
• Plan and supervise mapping, trenching, sampling and IP/resistivity surveys
• Supervise and log diamond drilling, with strict QA/QC and chain of custody
• Build GIS and 3D geological models and support the resource estimate
• Prepare technical reports and deliverables for the client

Requirements

• BSc in Geology (an Honours degree will be an advantage)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in mineral exploration, ideally LCT pegmatites or critical minerals
• Valid passport and willingness to work on site in Nigeria
• Strong leadership abilities
• Hands-on drilling supervision, core logging and QA/QC experience
• Working knowledge of JORC/SAMREC and QGIS, Leapfrog and/or Datamine
• SACNASP registration is an advantage
• Immediately available to start
