Duties

• Prepare fresh salads and cold dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Expedite food orders from the kitchen, ensuring timely assembly and delivery to the service area
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate order flow and maintain quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad station and prep areas in compliance with food safety regulations
• Support food handling procedures, including proper storage and sanitation practices
• Engage with customers when needed, providing friendly service and answering questions about menu items

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, food service or restaurant environments
• Strong communication skills to liaise efficiently with kitchen staff and team members
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with POS systems for order processing is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills to keep workstations clean, stocked, and ready for service
• Experience with banquet or hotel food service is advantageous
• Basic numeracy skills for portioning ingredients accurately
• Previous kitchen experience including cooking or food expediting roles enhances performance in this position
