Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Expo/Food Runner to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties

• Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices
• Assist in food preparation and plating to ensure dishes meet presentation standards before serving
• Buss tables by clearing plates, utensils, and glassware efficiently to maintain a clean dining space
• Support the kitchen team with light cleaning tasks, including wiping down surfaces and sanitizing work areas in compliance with food safety standards
• Serve food and beverages to guests with friendly, attentive customer service using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely food delivery and guest needs
• Assist with food running during busy periods, ensuring all orders are delivered promptly and correctly

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
• Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and proper cleaning procedures
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large trays or boxes of supplies
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience with banquet service or catering is advantageous but not required
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining high standards of guest service
