Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Expo/Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team! In this vital role, you will serve as the essential link between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring that food reaches guests promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Your enthusiasm and efficiency will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about food service, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment. All roles are paid positions, including internships.

Duties

• Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices
• Assist with food preparation, plating, and garnishing to ensure presentation standards are met
• Clear and clean tables by bussing dishes and maintaining a tidy dining environment
• Support the kitchen team by performing cleaning tasks such as sanitizing workstations and equipment
• Deliver food orders accurately to guests using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring correct orders are served promptly
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service
• Assist with food safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage practices

Skills

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or banquet settings with knowledge of food running and serving procedures
• Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
• Experience in cleaning, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in a busy environment
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances the dining experience

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
