Expo/Food Runner

Duties

• Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
• Assist with food preparation tasks, such as plating and garnishing, to support kitchen staff when needed
• Clear and clean tables promptly after guests finish their meals, maintaining a tidy dining environment
• Buss tables efficiently by removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils to keep service areas organized
• Support in heavy lifting tasks, including moving supplies or equipment following safe lifting practices
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely food delivery and guest needs
• Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper handling procedures during food running and service

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and basic food preparation techniques
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
• Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with team members and guest interaction
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders or payments
• Experience with bussing, cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness standards in a fast-paced setting
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences
