Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Expo/Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team! In this vital role, you will serve as the essential link between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring that food reaches our guests promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Duties

• Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices
• Assist with food plating, presentation, and garnishing to ensure dishes meet quality standards before serving
• Clear and clean tables promptly by bussing, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining spaces
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation and food safety procedures as needed
• Ensure timely delivery of orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, accurately communicating special requests or modifications
• Help maintain cleanliness of workstations, service areas, and equipment through regular cleaning tasks
• Collaborate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to deliver seamless guest service

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or banquet settings is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
• Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when transporting large trays or boxes of supplies
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
