Duties

• Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices
• Assist with food preparation and plating to ensure dishes are ready for service in a timely manner
• Clear and bus tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining and service areas
• Support the serving team by delivering food orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros or similar platforms
• Ensure all food handling and safety standards are adhered to, including proper sanitation and cleanliness of work areas
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely delivery of orders
• Assist with light cleaning duties including wiping down surfaces, sweeping floors, and maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Familiarity with food handling, food safety protocols, and basic kitchen operations is highly advantageous
• Experience with POS systems such as Micros or similar platforms is a plus
• Ability to lift heavy trays or boxes safely while following proper lifting techniques
• Strong communication skills to interact confidently with team members and guests
• Experience working in banquet settings or catering environments is beneficial but not mandatory
• A positive attitude combined with excellent guest service skills will help you succeed in this lively role
