Expo/Food Runner

Job Summary

As an Expo/Food Runner, you’ll keep service moving by coordinating finished dishes between the kitchen and dining areas. You’ll check orders for accuracy and presentation, deliver food promptly, and support servers and guests with attentive, in-person customer service. This active role calls for clear communication, teamwork, and safe handling of food and equipment.

Duties

• Coordinate food running from the kitchen, confirm dishes match orders, and alert the team to special requests or issues.
• Deliver meals to guests, support serving and guest services, and respond courteously to customer needs.
• Assist with bussing, cleaning, food preparation, and keeping service stations and dining areas organized.
• Follow food safety and food handling practices, including proper care of dishes and utensils.
• Use point-of-sale (POS) systems when needed; Aloha POS or Micros POS familiarity is helpful.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, hospitality mindset, and customer service ability, including in-person guest interaction.
• Food service, restaurant, kitchen, or banquet experience is helpful; food running or serving experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety, food handling, and basic food preparation practices.
• Able to perform manual handling and heavy lifting as needed, using safe lifting practices.
• Comfortable working at a fast pace and supporting cleaning and bussing tasks.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 per week
