About the role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Export Control Officer to support a major Federal  program within a secure environment in Canberra.

In this role, you will ensure compliance with export control regulations including ITAR, EAR and dual-use controls while supporting engineering, technology and program teams operating within a complex defence environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage export permits and licensing activities
• Administer Technology Control Plans (TCPs)
• Monitor access controls and foreign national screening
• Conduct compliance audits and maintain audit-ready records
• Investigate compliance incidents and support disclosure reporting
• Deliver export control guidance and training across the business
• Support governance, risk management and regulatory compliance activities

About You

• 5+ years' experience in export controls, trade compliance or defence compliance
• Strong understanding of ITAR, EAR and strategic goods controls
• Experience managing controlled technical data and secure information environments
• Proven compliance auditing and records management capability
• Strong stakeholder engagement and training experience
• Must Current NV1 or NV2 clearance
