About the role
Our client needs an experienced export professional for three months to support a busy, growing export team and provide cover for planned leave. You’ll manage about 5 to 7 sea freight shipments a week from order to dispatch. You’ll be part of a small export team and work closely with account managers, the factory, warehouse and planning teams, shipping lines, trucking companies and MPI. An experienced coordinator will always be in the office to support you.

You will:

• Process export orders in the ERP and book sea freight shipments
• Prepare export documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading and MPI health certificates
• Raise MPI Transfer Requests and E-cert applications, and complete customs declarations
• Track fulfilment with the factory, warehouse and planning teams
• Keep account managers updated, and flag anything in the newly updated export procedures that doesn’t line up

Skills and experience

• Hands-on MPI export certification, including Transfer Requests, E-certs, Official Assurances and OMARs
• Current Customs PIN (UUI)
• Preparing export shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and bills of lading
• Coordinating sea freight exports with shipping lines and trucking companies
• Familiarity with ERP and documentation systems such as Syspro and ProDoc
