About the role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Export Customer Service Representative to join our team in Bangkok on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary point of contact for our export clients, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service delivery throughout the freight forwarding process. You will play a crucial role in maintaining strong client relationships, resolving queries promptly, and supporting the overall success of our export operations. This position is essential to our business, as you will directly impact client satisfaction and retention whilst contributing to the efficiency and reputation of MP CONSOL.

What you'll be doing

• Responding to customer enquiries regarding export services, shipment status, and documentation requirements with professionalism and accuracy
• Processing export orders and managing customer accounts, ensuring all details are accurately recorded and communicated to relevant departments
• Coordinating with internal teams including operations, documentation, and finance to facilitate smooth export transactions
• Preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork
• Tracking and monitoring shipments throughout their journey, providing timely updates to customers
• Resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely manner, implementing solutions that maintain positive relationships
• Maintaining detailed records of client interactions, transactions, and correspondence for audit and reference purposes
• Developing and nurturing long-term client relationships to support business growth and customer retention
• Liaising with freight carriers, customs brokers, and other third-party service providers to ensure reliable service delivery
• Supporting the preparation of quotations and proposals for potential customers

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in export customer service or freight forwarding operations, ideally within a cargo forwarding or logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of export procedures, documentation requirements, and international shipping regulations
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
• Proficiency with logistics software systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and client queries simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to customer service
• High attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation and data entry
• Professional demeanour and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
• Understanding of customs procedures, tariffs, and international trade compliance is preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
