We are a US-based international trading company looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial professional in India equipped with adequate experience to develop promising product lines for export from India to the US and Europe and possibly drive that business from the ground up. If you have the trade knowledge and market instincts but have lacked the platform to act on them, this role gives you that.
What you will do
Product identification
Evaluate 35 product categories: India supply dominance, US/EU import demand, margin economics, regulatory complexity
Talk to potential suppliers, get indicative pricing and MOQs, assess the competitive landscape
Present a structured recommendation which product or products to launch and why
Supplier sourcing
Identify and onboard 23 qualified exporters; negotiate pricing, MOQs, and terms
Ensure compliance: relevant certifications, quality documentation, export docs
Coordinate with freight forwarders remotely for logistics and documentation
Sales & business development
Prospect and reach out to distributors, wholesalers, and B2B buyers in the US and Europe via email, LinkedIn, phone, and video calls
Own the full sales cycle from first contact through to confirmed order samples, follow-up, negotiation, close
Maintain a structured buyer pipeline; report weekly to the US team
Every order you close earns you a direct commission this is the highest-leverage part of the role Who we are looking for
510 years in international trade, export-import operations, or sourcing with a track record of independently managing supplier or buyer relationships
Sales or BD experience comfortable prospecting, pitching, and closing B2B deals with international buyers; this is as much a sales role as a trade role
Market instinct can evaluate a category, spot a gap, and form a grounded commercial view not just desk research
Excellent English spoken and written; you will be on calls with US and European buyers. Non-negotiable.

Trade compliance knowledge INCOTERMS, US import requirements, certifications, standard export documentation

Nice to have
Existing exporter or freight forwarder relationships in India
Track record of closing deals with US or European buyers
Experience launching or evaluating new product categories in trade
Degree in international business, foreign trade, or related field

Compensation
Monthly Retainer
50,000 minimum Sales Commission
Applied on each invoice closed Performance Bonus
Paid per new supplier or buyer that transacts
