Here in Aotearoa, New Zealand, we employ more than 1,000 people across four manufacturing sites, two distribution centres and our corporate head office. Together, we produce some of the country’s most loved dairy brands, including Anchor, Fresh’n Fruity, Mainland and Kāpiti.

Our business also includes NZ New Milk, a specialised nutrition and infant formula manufacturer that produces premium products for global markets. We manufacture high-quality dairy products enjoyed by Kiwis here in New Zealand and consumers around the world.

Lactalis is a French family-owned business and the world’s largest dairy company. With a presence in 50 countries, employing around 90,000 people and a range of 2,000 dairy products. Lactalis is committed to contributing to the health and well-being of consumers around the world every day.

Our passionate and talented team is dedicated to nurturing the future of dairy, unlocking new opportunities and fostering innovation in nutrition and food.

About the Opportunity

Be part of a high-performing team at the heart of Lactalis NZ’s global trade operations. As an Export Documentation Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring export orders are processed efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with international requirements. Your work will directly support Lactalis NZ’s global growth, customer commitments, and reputation for excellence. You will:

  • Own the end-to-end processing of export documentation, ensuring timely government clearances and adherence to world-class standards and customer value management
  • Collaborate with Sales, Account Managers, and third-party authorities to ensure all documentation meets international codes, country requirements, and Lactalis NZ’s policies
  • Leverage new technologies to drive accuracy and efficiency in export documentation
  • Proactively identify and manage compliance risks, minimising exposure and delays while safeguarding Fonterra Oceania’s business interests
  • Engage in strategic initiatives, including e-trade data and automation projects, and contribute to cross-functional process improvements and the future vision of export operations

About You

You’re a detail-oriented team player with a passion for international trade and a knack for navigating complex processes. Your collaborative spirit, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement make you a trusted partner across diverse teams. In addition to this you will bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience in export documentation or a combination of export documentation and international supply chain university-level studies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage process complexity, multiple requirements, and tight timelines in a supply chain environment
  • Experience or exposure to international banking and trade finance, with practitioner knowledge of Incoterms, documentary credits, and trade compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • A growth mindset, “can do” attitude, and readiness to contribute to team agility, process improvement, and shared business goals

  • Flexible working arrangements where possible
