Export - Import & Warehouse Dispatch Lead

About the role

PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia is seeking an Export - Import & Warehouse Dispatch Lead to join our operations team. This is a full-time position based in East Karawang, West Java. In this leadership role, you will oversee and manage all export and import operations, whilst coordinating warehouse dispatch activities to ensure seamless logistics operations. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with customs regulations, optimising warehouse efficiency, and leading a team to deliver exceptional service. This position is integral to our supply chain operations and directly impacts our ability to meet customer commitments and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all export and import operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements
• Oversee warehouse dispatch activities and ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods
• Lead and supervise the warehouse and dispatch team, providing guidance, training and performance management
• Prepare and verify export and import documentation, including bills of lading, customs clearance forms and commercial invoices
• Coordinate with shipping agents, customs brokers and logistics partners to ensure smooth clearance and movement of goods
• Monitor inventory levels and warehouse stock accuracy to optimise space utilisation
• Manage and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and customs officials
• Identify process improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives within warehouse and dispatch operations
• Prepare reports on import/export activities, shipment status and warehouse performance for senior management
• Ensure health, safety and security protocols are maintained within the warehouse facility

Essential requirements will be:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in import/export operations, customs clearance or warehouse management
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade procedures and documentation requirements
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and logistics software
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with external partners and internal stakeholders
• Understanding of health, safety and security requirements in warehouse environments
• Fluency in Indonesian and English is essential
• A valid driving licence is advantageous
• Experience with international shipping standards and carrier management is preferred
• Knowledge of HS codes and tariff classifications is beneficial
