Export Manager

Our Aucklandbranch is looking for a strong Export Manager to join our management team based in Mangere.

Responsibilities

• Effective Management and allocation of team resources to ensure work is completed accurately and on time
• Performance management – regular feedback and setting goals and objectives
• Resolving any issues or conflicts promptly and effectively, working with HR as necessary
• Ensuring GBO’s are achieved and improved
• Ongoing training of team members to promote continuous improvement and development, ensure skills are up to date, and SOP’s are being followed
• Continuous monitoring and review of current procedures with a view to recommending and implementing innovative solutions
• Active role in H&S culture and enforcement as required
• Auckland RACA maintenance and ensuring all Aviation Security requirements necessary for RACA accreditation are adhered to
• Ensuring compliance with all other laws and regulations, MPI and NZ Customs especially whilst reviewing current process to optimize our performance
• Management of Auckland Branch hazardous goods handling and requirements, licenses etc.
• Developing and growing the Röhlig NZ Exports product
• Establishing relationships and maintaining long term sustainable partnerships with specified customers and service providers
• Preparation of monthly department reports in accordance to management requirements

Requirements

• Thorough understanding and experience within freight forwarding
• Experience in managing, training and developing team members
• Familiar with airline/shipping line services and routes
• Ability to review processes and drive improvements where necessary
• In depth understanding of quarantine approved arrangement operations
• Knowledge of aviation security and the requirements of an Air Cargo Agent
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
• Customer service driven attitude with the ability to find efficient solutions for the customer
• CargoWise experience preferred
• Time management and prioritisation skills
