Export Officer

Internal Collaboration

• Work with production planning, sales, and warehouse teams to coordinate product dispatching, packing, and loading schedules.

Cost Negotiation & Logistics

• Negotiate transport, handling, and freight rates (air, sea, land) with forwarders and shipping lines to minimize costs.

Logistics Coordination

• Book shipping space, coordinate with freight forwarders, truckers, and shipping lines for air/sea/land transportation.

Documentation & Compliance Tools and Equipment

• Prepare, verify, and process all export documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing list, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading) in compliance with international trade laws.

Customs Clearance

• Liaise with customs brokers to ensure accurate declaration and Ensure adherence to customs regulations, BOI Requirements, timely clearance of goods.

Shipment Tracking

• Track and monitor shipment status from warehouse to final destination, proactively resolving delays.

Problem Solving

• Resolve issues related to cargo shipment, customs delays, or transport delays.

Reporting

• Create detailed reports on cargo handling, expenses, and shipment status.

Financial Reporting & Expense tracking

• Create detailed reports on shipping expenses, including freight costs, duty payments, and carrier charges.
• Verify and submit shipping expenses and invoices to the accounting department for payment approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 2–3 years of experience in Export, Logistics, Shipping, or International Trade, preferably in a manufacturing or international business environment.
• Strong knowledge of export logistics, shipping documentation, customs clearance, Incoterms, tariff classification, and international trade regulations.
• Proficient in preparing and verifying Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), Air Waybills (AWB), and Certificates of Origin (C/O).
• Good understanding of BOI requirements and customs clearance processes will be an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, particularly in documentation and logistics coordination.
• Able to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Good English communication skills, including the ability to communicate and respond to emails professionally.
• Good coordination skills with internal teams, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and logistics partners.
