About Us

Transworld International Removals Ltd is a specialist international moving company, relocating household and personal effects to and from New Zealand. With branches in Auckland (Head Office), Wellington, and Christchurch, we are a proudly New Zealand-owned family business with over 30 years of experience.

What We Do

  • We specialise in international household relocations worldwide.
  • We have been providing clients with a professional, stress-free moving experience for more than 30 years.
  • We pride ourselves on finding practical logistics solutions, whether the destination is Australia, Kazakhstan, or anywhere in between.
  • We work with a diverse client base, including private individuals, corporate clients, government agencies, and embassies.
  • As a leading international mover, we are committed to exceptional customer service, compliance, and operational excellence.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Export Shipping Coordinator to lead and manage our export shipping operations across New Zealand. Working closely with our sales and operational teams, you will ensure shipments are processed efficiently, compliantly, and delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee export coordination and manifesting for all Transworld branches.

  • Monitor freight readiness and arrange shipping and airline bookings to ensure timely departures.

  • Liaise with sales, operations, carriers, and overseas agents regarding export shipments.

  • Coordinate freight movements between Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch for export loading.

  • Prepare and lodge export customs entries through our EDI system ‘SpeEDI’ and ensure compliance with all customs requirements.

  • Verify that all required export documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Prepare manifests and submit shipping documentation to shipping lines and airlines.

  • Prepare export advice documentation for destination agents and clients.

  • Maintain current knowledge of shipping schedules, carrier services, freight rates, and operational suppliers.

  • Update freight tariffs, shipping rates, and operational databases.

  • Respond promptly to agent enquiries and rate requests.

  • Verify shipping costs and process invoices for payment.

  • Implement and adapt operational processes to meet regulatory and industry changes, including customs and EDI requirements.

  • Maintain operational manuals, procedures, and documentation.

  • Provide support to administration and sales teams as required.

  • Ensure enquiries, issues, and customer concerns are resolved promptly and professionally.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, international removals, or a related industry.
  • Experience in international removals, freight forwarding, customs clearance, or export shipping will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with export shipping procedures and customs documentation.
  • A New Zealand Customs PIN would be advantageous.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills would be highly beneficial.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and numeracy skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary package.
  • Full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
  • On-site parking.
  • Supportive and friendly team environment.
  • Stable, long-established business with a strong industry reputation.
  • Opportunity to develop your career within the international logistics and removals industry.

Eligibility
