Export Shipping Manager

• Basic up to $7,000 + + $50 Transport Allowance + Bonus

About the role

The Export Shipping Manager is responsible for leading and managing the export shipping operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of goods in compliance with international trade and customs regulations. The role drives continuous improvement in shipping processes, enhances customer satisfaction, manages vendor relationships, and ensures the export team operates efficiently while meeting company and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor the export shipping team to improve performance and service quality
• Establish and monitor department KPIs together with Import Shipping Manager
• Ensure ISO9001 compliance and maintain accurate records
• Work closely with Executive Chairman & Joint CEO to serve new and existing customers
• Provide logistics solutions tailored to customer requirements
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and disputes promptly
• Manage daily shipping operations including forwarding transactions
• Oversee full sets of shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates, L/C documentation)
• Ensure customs declarations comply with Singapore and international regulations
• Negotiate freight rates and free-time extensions with shipping lines and forwarders

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, International Trade, or related field
• 7–10 years in shipping/logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Strong background in export documentation, Letters of Credit, and customs compliance
• Leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of import/export operations and regulations
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reporting skills
• Relevant certifications in logistics, trade compliance, or supply chain (e.g., FIATA, CITP, APICS/CSCP) preferred
• ISO9001 knowledge/certification is an advantage
