About the role

Markenburg International Foods Corp. is seeking an Export Staff to join our dynamic team in Marilao, Bulacan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing our international export operations. As Export Staff, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the smooth movement of goods across borders, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations and export requirements. This position is integral to our supply chain operations and directly contributes to the success of our international business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and certificates of origin
• Coordinate with customs brokers and government agencies to ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and tariff requirements
• Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers regarding export progress
• Verify accuracy of shipping information and ensure all documentation is complete and correct before shipment departure
• Liaise with logistics providers to arrange transportation and consolidate shipments in accordance with customer requirements
• Maintain detailed records of all export transactions, documentation and communications for audit and compliance purposes
• Resolve any customs issues, delays or discrepancies that may arise during the export process
• Assist with the calculation and processing of duties, taxes and other export-related charges
• Support the export team in meeting delivery deadlines and maintaining excellent customer service standards

What we're looking for

• Bachelor in customs, logistics or international trade is highly desirable
• Proven experience in export operations, customs documentation or international trade (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of export procedures, customs regulations, tariff classifications and international shipping requirements
• Proficiency in using export management systems and customs documentation software
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors in complex documentation
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Philippine customs procedures and international trade compliance standards
• Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to resolve issues efficiently
