Responsibilities

• Supervise children during before and after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Implement engaging activities that promote social skills, creativity, and physical activity aligned with developmental goals
• Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful environment
• Assist with homework help, tutoring, or educational activities to support academic growth
• Follow all first aid protocols and be prepared to respond to minor injuries or emergencies using CPR or AED as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support each child's individual needs, including those in special education or requiring additional support
• Maintain accurate attendance records and document any incidents or concerns promptly

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in childcare, daycare, camp settings, or youth programs is highly preferred
• Knowledge of classroom management strategies and childhood development principles
• Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to manage behavior positively while fostering a safe and inclusive environment
• Experience in teaching or tutoring young children is a plus
• Familiarity with special education needs or behavioral management techniques is advantageous
• Passion for working with children and supporting their growth in a nurturing setting

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
