Extended Day Teacher

Our early childhood program is growing, and we are excited to expand our team by hiring two dedicated Extended Day Teachers for our 2-year-old classroom!

We are looking for warm, patient, and energetic educators who have a genuine passion for working with young children. In this role, you will help foster a safe, creative, and joyful environment where our youngest learners can thrive during their afternoon routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Active Engagement: Get down on the floor to play, build, and interact directly with children at their eye level.
• Creative Activities: Lead and assist with age-appropriate art projects, sensory play, and storytime.
• Outdoor Supervision: Accompany and actively engage with children during playground play weather permitting.
• Daily Care Routine: Assist with diaper changing and personal hygiene with care and respect.
• Naptime Management: Maintain a peaceful environment during the children’s afternoon rest time.
• Safety & Supervision: Maintain visual supervision and keep classroom environments clean, welcoming, and safe.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A true love for working with early learners (ages 2-3).
• High energy, patience, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to physically engage with children (sitting on the floor, lifting, running outdoors).
• Willingness to assist with diapering and routine care needs.
• Must complete and pass state-required Fingerprinting and a CARI (Child Abuse Record Information) background check prior to/upon hire.
• Prior experience in a childcare or preschool setting is preferred, but passionate candidates looking to start in early childhood education are encouraged to apply!

Schedule & Hours

• 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday (20 hours/week)
• No Friday or weekend hours required.

Benefits & Perks
