Role Description The External Audit Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Makati, with flexibility for part-time work from home as business needs allow. This role oversees the planning, execution, and completion of external audit engagements for a wide range of clients, ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and the firm’s quality control procedures. Daily responsibilities include managing audit teams, reviewing working papers and financial statements, identifying and addressing complex accounting and auditing issues, and maintaining effective communication with client stakeholders. The External Audit Manager also contributes to engagement budgeting, resource allocation, and risk assessment, while coaching and mentoring team members to support their professional development. In addition, the role may involve participating in business development activities, such as proposal preparation and client presentations, to strengthen client relationships and expand service offerings.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in external auditing, Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Experience in planning, leading, and reviewing audit engagements, including risk assessment, internal control evaluation, and documentation of audit evidence.
• Proficiency in using audit and accounting software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office applications for efficient engagement management and reporting.
• Demonstrated skills in people management, including supervising teams, providing feedback, coaching, and supporting staff development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, presenting findings, and resolving issues in a clear and professional manner.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification in the Philippines, with several years of progressive experience in external audit, preferably in a public accounting or professional services firm.
• Commitment to professional ethics, continuous learning, and staying current with changes in accounting and auditing standards and relevant regulations.
