External Auditor

We are seeking an Assurance Senior to support domestic and multinational clients across various industries, including financial services, manufacturing, technology, and other sectors.

The role provides exposure to various accounting and auditing standards, including PFRS, IFRS, US GAAP, US GAAS, UK GAAP, and other applicable standards.

As an Assurance Senior, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned engagements and be responsible for the timeliness, quality, and delivery of assurance work. The role requires strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, project management capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and supervise team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead assurance engagements and ensure the team delivers timely, accurate, and high-quality work in accordance with established audit methodologies and client expectations.
• Review audit procedures and deliverables performed by team members to ensure compliance with applicable quality, risk management, accounting, and auditing standards.
• Interpret and apply relevant accounting and auditing standards, including PFRS/IFRS, US GAAP, US GAAS, and UK GAAP, as applicable.
• Coordinate workflow with global and local assurance teams, allocate resources, and monitor engagement progress against agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor team utilization, budget-to-actual performance, deliverables, and other engagement-related operational matters.
• Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships with local and international teams.
• Set clear expectations regarding deliverables, timelines, quality standards, and engagement objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve and standardize assurance processes, enhance efficiency, and leverage best practices.
• Lead, coach, and supervise junior team members, providing guidance and feedback to support their professional development.
• Identify high-potential team members and contribute to talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Conduct timely performance reviews and provide constructive coaching and mentoring.
• Support risk management and quality assurance initiatives across assigned engagements.
• Promote a collaborative and positive work environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in BS Accountancy or equivalent accounting-related degree.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and audit, with external audit experience required.
• At least 1 -2 year of leadership, supervisory, or team management experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, Philippine Standards on Auditing (PSA), and taxation.
• Experience working with multinational clients or global teams is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience with IFRS, US GAAP, US GAAS, UK GAAP, or other international accounting and auditing standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong project management, leadership, coaching, mentoring, and supervisory capabilities.
