External Relations

About the role

The External Relations department is responsible for establishing, maintaining and developing positive relationships between the company and external parties, including government agencies, the public, business partners, organisations, the media and other stakeholders. This role plays a key part in safeguarding the company's reputation, supporting the smooth running of operations, and ensuring that communication and coordination with external parties are effective.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain good relationships with government and private sector bodies, the public, business partners, organisations and other external stakeholders.
• Liaise and coordinate with external parties regarding the company's needs and interests.
• Foster good working relationships with local authorities and relevant bodies to support the company's operational activities.
• Represent the company in meetings, activities, forums, events, and other occasions involving external parties.
• Manage communication and correspondence with external stakeholders in a professional manner.
• Monitor issues, policies, regulations, and developments in the external environment that may affect the company.
• Assist the company in building and maintaining harmonious relationships with communities surrounding the company's operational areas.
• Support the company in expanding its network and maintaining a positive corporate image among external stakeholders.
• Handle and follow up on inquiries, requests, and issues raised by external parties within the scope of authority.
• Support the implementation of company activities relating to public relations, CSR, community development and social programs.

About you

• Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1), preferably in Law, Management, Communication Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Active and proactive, with strong ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
• Experience of active involvement in campus organisations or other organisations, communities or activities outside the university.
• Strong networking, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, coordination, relationship management, negotiation, and public speaking skills, particularly when dealing with government and private institutions and other external stakeholders.
• Ability to prepare reports and maintain proper documentation using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes when required.
• Previous experience in External Relations, Government Relations, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs, or related fields is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and/or English is an advantage.
