External Relations Manager

Overall Purpose of the Position

Key outreach role responsible for proactively identifying, building, and maintaining strategic relationships with multinational companies, diplomatic missions, relocation agencies, and other organisations. Working closely with the Strategic Communications and Advancement Director and the Admissions Manager, ensure that expat families are aware of ISP and can make informed decisions about the educational opportunities and community ISP offers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Outreach and Relationship Building

• Identify, map, and work with key corporate contacts, multinational corporations, diplomatic missions, and chambers of commerce.
• Establish direct contact with Global Mobility Leaders, HR Directors, and Relocation Specialists to communicate the school's value proposition.

2. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management

• Cultivate long-term relationships with embassy personnel, cultural attachés, international business associations, and local relocation firms.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate client inquiries and tailored corporate family onboarding needs.

3. Networking and Event Representation

• Actively represent the school at chamber of commerce events, international networking forums, diplomatic functions, and expat community gatherings.
• Host targeted networking events and workshops on campus to showcase school facilities and academic programs to corporate decision-makers.

4. Strategic Collaboration and Reporting

• Collaborate with the Strategic Communications and Advancement Director to align outreach messaging, corporate pitch decks, and branded promotional collateral with the school's overall marketing strategy as well as support engagement initiatives (e.g., corporate open days, diplomatic receptions, executive briefings)
• Coordinate seamlessly with the Admissions Manager to further support the school admissions process and track inquiries, conversion rates, and family enrollment metrics resulting from external relations initiatives.
• Present quarterly reports to executive leadership.

Experience, Skills & Dispositions Desired

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in client relationship management, corporate partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or strategic outreach.
• Proven track record in corporate networking: Demonstrated experience building and managing high-level relationships with corporate HR/Global Mobility heads, diplomatic missions/embassies, Chambers of Commerce, or relocation services.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Experience working closely with marketing, communications, and other function teams to align outreach strategies and goals.
• Experience organizing and representing an organization at corporate functions, diplomatic receptions, networking forums, and executive briefings.

Preferred Experience:

• International Education or Non-Profit Sector: Previous experience in higher education, international schools, or embassy/diplomatic liaison roles.
• Expat & Mobility Ecosystem: Prior familiarity with the international/expat community network, mobility trends, and corporate family relocation processes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in English and Czech (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in Czech or other international languages (e.g., German, French, Mandarin) is highly advantageous given the target stakeholders.
• Interpersonal & Cultural Agility: Outstanding networking skills, executive presence, and cultural sensitivity needed to interact seamlessly with diplomats, corporate leaders, and expat families.

Education & Training Preferred

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, International Relations, Public Relations, or a related field.

Preferred Education/Certifications:

• Master’s Degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in International Relations, or Strategic Communications) is a plus.
