We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused External Sales Representative to join our Auckland team.

This is a field-based role focused on building relationships, developing new business, and helping existing customers get the most from RS's products and solutions. You'll spend most of your time out meeting customers, understanding their needs, and identifying opportunities to grow sales across your territory.

Whether you're currently in internal sales and ready for your first field sales role, or you're already managing a sales territory, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Develop new business opportunities across the Auckland region.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers.
• Visit customers regularly to understand their business and identify opportunities.
• Build relationships with purchasing, operations, maintenance and engineering contacts.
• Promote RS's range of industrial and electronic products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure a great customer experience to achieve sales target

What we're looking for

• 2-5 years' experience in a sales, customer-facing.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• A proactive approach and willingness to pick up the phone, visit customers and create opportunities.
• Self-motivated with good time management and organizational skills.
• Confidence working independently in a field-based role.
• A full New Zealand driver's license.

• Industrial, engineering or manufacturing environments
• Electrical or technical products
• Trade, wholesale or distribution businesses
• B2B sales and customer relationship management
