Extraction Lab Sampler

NTS is currently looking for experienced Lab Samplers.

This position requires employees to:

• Have SAFETY as a first priority and, through his/her actions, demonstrate the importance of the following, but not limited to, all Safe Work Practices and Safe Work Procedures
• Always wear proper PPE for the task
• Drive regularly throughout the plant site, including congested operating areas, while following all site traffic rules and safety requirements
• Collect oil, tailings, water, and process samples from extraction units according to established procedures from various collection sample points within Extraction unit
• Label, preserve, and transport samples to the laboratory while maintaining sample integrity
• Perform routine field inspections and verify sampling equipment is clean and operational.
• Complete sampling logs, chain-of-custody forms, and other required documentation accurately.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Communicate with laboratory personnel and field operations to ensure timely sample collection
• Maintain housekeeping standards at sampling locations and report equipment issues or unsafe conditions.
• FLRA’s to be completed and signed by each team member every day. Also, any hazardous conditions and near misses need to be reported to the supervisor
• Additional duties as required

The qualifications required for this position are:

• Class 4 Power engineering or process engineering diploma is an asset
• Experience in oil and gas field sampling or laboratory operations is an asset
• CSTS & OSSA or BSO or CSO certificates
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills
• Ability to work shift work
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
