About Us

PCB Extracts is a licensed Type 7 volatile manufacturer in Rio Vista, California. We make high-quality hydrocarbon extracts for the legal California cannabis market, with a focus on consistency, safety, and doing things right. We’re looking for an experienced Extraction Technician to join our production team.

The Role

You’ll run day-to-day closed loop hydrocarbon extraction on our licensed premises. You should be comfortable running the equipment on your own, following SOPs exactly, and keeping a clean, compliant workspace. You’ll work closely with the production lead to hit daily targets without cutting corners on safety or quality.

Responsibilities

• Run closed loop hydrocarbon extraction systems (butane, propane, or blends) according to company SOPs
• Prep, pack, and load material columns, then recover solvent after each run
• Monitor system pressures, temperatures, and run parameters, and adjust them as needed
• Do post-processing work such as dewaxing, purging, and vacuum oven operation, depending on product type
• Keep accurate batch records, run logs, and track-and-trace (METRC) documentation
• Do routine equipment cleaning, inspection, leak checks, and basic preventive maintenance
• Follow all C1D1 room protocols, gas detection procedures, and PPE requirements
• Keep the lab and production areas clean and inspection-ready at all times
• Report equipment problems, safety concerns, and product quality issues right away
• Help with inventory, solvent tracking, and waste handling and logging

Requirements

• At least 1 to 2 years of hands-on closed loop hydrocarbon extraction experience in the licensed California cannabis industry
• Working knowledge of hydrocarbon solvent handling, recovery, and storage
• Familiarity with C1D1 environments and volatile manufacturing safety practices
• Understanding of California DCC regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with METRC or similar track-and-trace systems
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow SOPs consistently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must pass a background check as required by state regulations
• Reliable transportation to Rio Vista

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with live resin, badder, sauce, diamonds, or shatter production
• Experience with post-processing equipment such as vacuum ovens, centrifuges, or winterization setups
• OSHA safety training or similar certifications
• Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment troubleshooting skills

Compensation

• Competitive hourly pay: $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience
