Extrusion Packer – Manufacturing

Weatherables is hiring Extrusion Packers for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position responsible for inspecting, packaging, labeling, and moving finished vinyl profiles while supporting the overall extrusion process.

We are looking for dependable team players who take pride in quality, work safely, and want the opportunity to learn and grow within our Extrusion Department.

Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 5:50AM-2PM
• 2nd Shift: 1:50PM-10AM
• 3rd Shift: 9:50PM-6AM

What You’ll Do

• Inspect extruded vinyl profiles for quality, including weight, wall thickness, contaminants, bow, camber, concavity, crowning, and other defects.
• Communicate quality or process concerns immediately to the Extrusion Operator.
• Complete hourly quality checks and accurately document results.
• Package finished profiles according to specifications.
• Measure and cut plastic film and wood used for profile bundles.
• Apply correct barcode identification labels to completed units.
• Move completed bundles to designated stock locations.
• Sort and separate scrap material from acceptable product.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift and prepare the area for the next shift.
• Properly use and maintain tools including micrometers, tape measures, saws, and other extrusion and quality equipment.
• Operate a forklift for finished bundle removal and movement of raw materials.
• Assist Operators, Maintenance, and Tooling with changeovers, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Learn extrusion processes and equipment to continue developing your skills.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Assist the Lead Operator, Supervisor, and other team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or at least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring equipment.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good problem-solving and mechanical abilities.
• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
